Feels good to have the Winnepeg Jets back. Now if only we could get the Whalers back just because that would be a cool uniform to have back in the NHL.

The Jets are back! I agree, I'd love to see Hartford back and the Quebec Nordiques as well. I always liked their logo. Clasic.

The Nordiques were cool, but I don't mind Colorado having a team. Hockey needs to be more northern of sport.

They had to use the Jets name.

Everyone wanted it.

Agreed. Like I said in the other thread, I would've been happy with either the Winnipeg Jets or the Manitoba Moose, but had an inkling that it would wind up being the Jets. Regardless, this is going to be great for the NHL. Whoever's idea it was to put a team in Atlanta needs to be fucking shot. Speaking of which, this means that Big Buff is gonna be a Jet next season, huh?

...Or would they have some kind of expansion draft? I'm guessing not.

If I recall correctly, the Atlanta Thrashers were Ted Turner's baby, one of the last projects he had before Time Warner sold his company to AOL and pushed him out of the picture for good.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I don't know why I even bothered asking that question, seeing how I already knew the answer to it.
