Whom do we pick and where?

Personally dont like will campbell and have not watched enough on banks but i heard he's also a better fit at guard.

Regarding the interior i want this guy. Played both tackle and guard this year and should hopefulyl be there for the 2nd round
  1. Donovan Jackson, Ohio State

I like Donovan Jackson, also.

Armand Membou from Missouri is a monster. I think he goes 1st round.

Josh Simmons, OH ST. If medicals check out, he’s going 1st round, as well.

Kelvin Banks at 10.

Jonah Savaiinaea at 39/41. I like Donovan Jackson here too, probably more given he’s “within region” but the first few posters mentioned him already so I’ll pick my 2nd choice.

I really don't know where this Banks is a better fit at OG is coming from. I have yet to see a report on exactly how long this guy's arms are. Most seem to think his arms are long enough, much like Rashawn Slater.

Don't know where Will Campbell will play. Some say his lack of length, 33.5-inch arms, will force him inside, while others have said that at 6-6 323 with remarkable footwork and athletic ability it won't matter as much. At LSU he was a day one starter as a freshman, with 1,687 snaps all at LT and has given up just 2 sacks with just 6 penalties in his three years. By comparison Slader's arms are 33 inches long.

I think Banks can play T, but I don't think he is nearly as good as Rashawn Slater was. He’s so erratic. Sometimes his rep is perfect, then he’ll completely miss on the next one. Total lack of control on a lot of plays. I like Simmons a lot better as a potential T.

Campbell will kick inside, and that’s fine. I think he has the potential to be absolutely elite at G, or even at C.

If Campbell locks up T or G for a decade, it's a good pick. I get guard is not the same value as tackle, but we're not good enough there to be picky.

Otherwise, I'm very content with moving down and seeing what edges and tackles are still available.

Im not a fan of interior lineman with a top 10 pick.

Also, the edge/interior guys in the top 15 are much better prospects than both of the tackle options.

I pray abdul carter slips, he'd be a perfect fit for the trio of billings, dexter, sweat.

DE/DT is a sneaky need, and maybe more than OL. I don’t think Carter gets past CAR. I don’t think Graham falls to the Bears.

It’s actually a strange spot to be in. Go OT Simmons, OG Campbell, DE Pearce, or DT Walter Nolen. I wouldn’t hate any of those picks.

Obviously total guess at this point, but I'm going Nolen in the first and then doubling up on OL with Membou and Jackson in the second.

Total speculation of course on my part, but I think Nolen may have a higher ceiling than Graham. He is awesome at everything. Pass rush, run defense, tackling, anchor, etc.

He was a top 5 recruit out of high school I think, and he's got that type of athleticism. Needs refinement and discipline but I think he will be really enticing as a guy who has an elite ceiling as 3T.

There just aren't many truly elite talents in this draft, but he is one.

Absolutely. Quintessential 3T prospect. It’s a deep DT/DE draft, so they could go so many different directions.

I don’t really disagree despite what I just said. It’s not a super exciting pick… and theoretically you can get great guards later (kinda like RBs). But, if the guy ends up locking down the position, I’ll live with it.

Honestly, if we just draft linemen on both sides of the ball with all our higher picks, I’m going to be pretty happy.

I’d love Carter, but we’d need to move up… almost certainly. And yea, if he slips to 7/8, I’d pull the trigger to move into that spot and not think twice about the pick I gave up to get there. I think it would cost about a 3rd… or future 2nd/3rd depending on the charts. Worth it to get the guy we really want.

I think this year more than many other recent drafts, I’ll probably a lot less opinionated on what they do. Move up… move down… I’m cool with it as long as it’s linemen.

So what i'm hearing about Banks is that some people are actually worried that his height might be his issue for T with some thinking he could end up measuring in closer to 6'2 than the 6'4 they have him at now.

I’m not too high on the OTs. I really like Tyler booker, Jonah Savaiinaea, and Donovan Jackson. If the bears were able to nab 2 of those guys I’d be ecstatic. Maybe trade down to 15-20 and select Booker, and then pick either Jonah or Jackson in the 2nd. They’d prob coup another 2nd round pick in the trade down giving them 2 more picks in the 2nd to attack DL.

Assuming of course if graham or Carter are off the board at 10, which they will be.

When you say DE/DT is a sneaky need who is it sneaky to because those are obvious needs for the Bears?
