I never liked "Kraken" when they announced the name. I just don't like the way it sounds. And the logo reminds me too much of the Seattle Mariners' logo. I do like the colors though.

Anyways, not so much a complaint as much as it is an opinion. Not my cup of tea, but whatever. A lot of people don't like the name.

There's a Hollywood Undead song where one singer screams "RELEASE THE KRAKEN" and it is a party song, so I would bet it will be one of their arena soundbites you hear 90 times a game.

I believe the logo was supposed to be an homage to the Seattle Metropolitans--the 1st US team to win the Stanley Cup.

That being said, the "Krak-house", "Krak-Pipe", and other associated jokes are already flying around the PacNW.
