Dude was making over 4 times as much in college than what he'll get in the NFL. His entire rookie deal will pay him less than his last year of college. I think the transfer portal is fine but there needs to be some pay boundaries for these 'amateur' players.

Don’t know if many companies will want him representing them. Dude is overrated like no other and isn’t well respected

I imagine most brands pass on him but wouldn't surprise me if an up and coming brand tried to get him on the cheap and gambles that he becomes a starter. May be able to get him for a few years at below market value as currently QB4.

Maybe he'll get endorsements from whomever the jeweler is that makes 12 pound dollar sign medallions.

Honestly I'd sell all that @*!@t. My vow to myself would be, "I'll buy back better stuff once I earn a huge second NFL contract." Actually I'm not a jewelry guy and I wouldn't buy them at all, but if I had 'em and was the kind of dude who liked stuff like that, I would buy better versions later.

They'll pass because he can't!

That's my best joke. I'm so sorry everyone. I'll see myself out

This may be worth its own thread… but just gonna throw it here cause I’m lazy and we probably don’t need two Shadeur threads.

I’m not a Sanders fan at all, but this kid is an idiot. He had to know this could reflect horribly on his dad… and he allowed people to record this?! Idiot.

I think he fell due to having meh velocity, not understand a pocket even if only had few of them and not showing leadership qualities. He may have blamed any criticism on teammates in interviews as well. He's certainly done it with the media. I think this is also a product of non GMs overrating him more than the other way around.

He's a big name, big personality, and now he has a redemption story.

You're kidding yourself if you think brands aren't going to go after him.
His dad is a big name. That’s why he was a “big name” in college. Right now, he is a 5th round draft pick. Sure he has a big personality but for the wrong reasons.

I think he will get his endorsements but in my opinion, it won’t be with huge companies or brands like he would have if he were drafted in the top 10.

His name was built at CU because of his dad and he was the second best player in a very mediocre program. He’s starting from square one again. As of now he has no redemption story until he proves himself.

He fell because of his dad, personality, terrible interviews and being a mediocre football player.

Maybe he has deals already in place. I don’t know the details about how him dropping in the draft could change that. Based off the situation he’s now in nobody is going after him.

And let’s be real. His dad was the one getting those deals. He was a recipient of his dads standing. At this point he’s on his own. Nobody is giving endorsement deals to backup QB’s. I don’t really even think he’s second string at this point. they drafted Gabriel in front of him. And there no way they’re starting Gabriel. At least not in the short term.
