Once again, reading comprehension...have at it anytime you choose. Otherwise, your posts will continue to be meaningless shots at something that doesn't exist.

Scoring is down overall, though, right?

Good for him.

Just did a quick search to confirm what I posted. Holy smokes...

I knew penalties were down, but I didn't know it was quite that drastic.

That's fine, that is your opinion.

As I said before...in MVP talk I think Malkin improves his teammate a lot more than Stamkos does with his, and I think St.Louis is what really helps Stamkos out big time.

My opinion, I backed it up with thought, opinion, some stats, and not smiley faces.

I like Malkin for it because the Pens have had a whole lot of injuries to deal with. Crosby, Letang, others. Without Malkin I think that team is in deep shit.

I think the Lightning stick around where they are because I think St. Louis is a big part of what motors that team. Mike Babcock was asked last year about containing Stamkos and he made a comment that it is St. Louis that makes that team run and is the one they have to be worried about.

Malkin makes things happen on his own, while Stamkos is a complete snipe show that finds the soft spot in the ice...but he usually has to have someone dish him the puck. Really nothing wrong with that overall except if talking MVP, but I really do think that without St. Louis you see Stamkos dip in goals because Stamkos isn't the type of guy that has the puck on his stick for very long in a game. St. Louis is one of the most underrated players in the NHL in my eyes, doesn't get the credit he deserves.

I will also say that Malkin seems to elevate his teammates more so than Stamkos does.

Just my opinion based on what I have seen.

discredit his numbers because of St Louis. Its right there in your posts.

I think 60 goals helps out a team no?

I wonder what his "dip in goals" would actually be at if there was no st louis. 50?

Stamkos is just too good. Love watching the kid play.

I think it's time to invest in my first non-Blackhawks hockey sweater.

I still stand by what you quoted, however what you are saying that I "say" is completely different than my quotes. Never once did I say it was all because of St. Louis or that he would be nothing without him, I always recognize the talent he is but I believe people don't recognize the talent St. Louis is.

I do believe Stamkos would dip without St. Louis, but I always note that Stamkos is an amazing talent and easily top 10 in the league.

Stamkos is the type of player that needs someone to feed him the puck. He finds the soft areas and then is a snipe show. He needs someone like St. Louis to help him out because he isn't the type of guy to carry a play or carry the puck. Flat out, that is what I see in his game. Especially when talking MVP, which is what all those quotes were from...I have said Malkin improves his teammates more than a Stamkos does to his.

So again lets minus out St Louis and put him on another team, a team that doesnt have the St Louis type player, he still scores 45-50 goals without question. Top 10, more like top 5/6.

Okay, so then you agree with me that he would dip in goals with out a St. Louis who helps out Stamkos big time. 10 - 15 goals is a pretty good sized dip. So basically you are arguing to just argue?

Also, I have been saying he is easily top 10...so saying more like 5/6 isn't that much off at all. I could probably make a case for him in the top 5, but he would be closer to the bottom of that for me.

Stamkos is a beast. No question. He's a goalscorer. He's not the best player in the league though.

If he still score 50 goals without a "st louis" he is still fucking amazing. The dip is not significant and does not make st louis god, im also sure that stamkos can make any playmaker much better.
