It would make a lot of sense, but him jumping right into the fire i just don't see it. Although, Joe Torre did it, leaving Yankees and going to Los Angeles without taking a break to work in tv or just going to work for a team in a advisory role, so i guess anything is possible.

Theo is gonna urge ownership to kick Francona to the curb so they keep him around.... so i doubt Theo leaves Red Sox since he's saving his job by laying down the blame on Francona, and i doubt the two of them would wanna work together any time soon, especially weeks after, Theo threw him under the bus.

I'd much rather have Epstein than Francona. However, if he does take a year off, I wonder if we could see Quade back for another suck year, then bring in Tito.... that is if we don't get Epstein.
