I was thinking about this too. It's been a brutal stretch ever since the Cubs won the WS. The decade before that was pretty good though with 5 championships between the Blackhawks, Cubs and White Sox. And obviously Jordan and the Bulls in the 90s makes up for everything else that decade combined.

Regarding the Bears and White Sox, I do not have any expectations that they can turn it around to the point where I don't even want to invest the time to watch them. It's just not worth it. The Bulls are kinda fun albeit a bad team. The Blackhawks are a major disappointment and just fired their coach as well. And the Cubs are probably the most competent of all the teams but really just an average team. That's how bad the others are.

That is pathetic. Obviously I've known that Chicago sports haven't been good for awhile, but I didn't realize it was this bad. Maybe I'm just numb to it all.

It is very safe to say that Chicago can never be referred to as the city of champions. Right now, the state of affairs is putrid at best across all the teams.

Kinda crazy how all of our teams have only really only had one golden era, at least in modern history.

The Bulls have historically been pretty bad other than the Jordan era (obviously). The Rose era was nice for a couple years but never really came close to a title then thanks to LeBron's Heat.

The Bears have largely sucked for the entire superbowl era outside of the '85 team and the years around it. Making it the superbowl under Lovie was cool but that was like Derrick Rose's Bulls just even more short-lived.

The White Sox have had some moments. Winning the Series in '05 was cool and they had some great teams during the Frank Thomas era but that was about it. Lots of suck around those.

The Cubs obviously are the loveable losers but struck in 2016, now back to being losers again.

Even as an original six team, the Blackhawks hadn't won a Stanley cup since 1961 (and 1938 before that) until Kane/Toews happened. They've been shit before and since.

Maybe people should stop showing up to the games
