I'll miss watching that knuckleball. It either completely fools the hitters (and his catcher) or gets hammered into the next state.

No, of course not serious. But I think it would've taken quite a few starts for him to get the five innings minimum for each that he needed to qualify, especially at that age. Doable though.

I also neglected the wins he could've picked up in relief like a vulture, but those should count too.

That was probably predicated on whether the team would even give him that chance. And that unfortunately led to him deciding to retire. Even if he had made the team I doubt they would have given him the kinds of situations where he could actually earn a win unless one of the starters got injured and he would have to spot-start. Baseball is a cruel game.

I really thought he would be coming to Cubs once Theo came over. Had fun watching him pitch, even more pitching with him in video games lol
