-I'm not sold with CP3 being top 5. Kobe or Dirk should be #5.
-Odom is doo doo this yr. Shouldn't be top 50.
-K-Love above Blake Griffin.
-Monta Ellis is a top 25 player imo.
-Switch Deng & Lowry.
-I'm a big Tyson Chandler fan, so personally I think he should be above Brook Lopez, Nene, Noah.
-Serge Ibaka is on the rise, but as of right now, I can live with that ranking.

That's all I can pick apart right now.

Well, if Nowitzki should be ahead of Rose this year then Odom should also be in the top 45 because both of those guys are playing terrible relative to their talent this year because they both came back from the lock-out out-of-shape.

Chris Paul came in out-of-shape too but I honestly feel that he's slightly better than Dirk Nowitzki.

Tyson Chandler isn't better than Noah, in my opinion because Noah is a much better passer and ball-handler.

Monta is a pretty useless defender because he is undersized and over-gambles. He also doesn't have a natural position on offense.

Thanks for the reply.

Every good game Lin has = greatest player ever

Every bad game Lin has = worst player in history

Lin is probably somewhere near the top 100 but he's not quite there yet. He's had some bad games even in some of the ones he's won because of turnovers.

As for Kevin Love being ahead of Blake Griffin, I don't agree because Griffin has a much, much better post-up game and is a better ball-handler. Kevin Love is a lot like Brad Miller (the all-star Brad Miller) when it comes to offense except with slightly better shooting ability and less ball-handling and passing ability. What makes Love so great is his rebounding but Griffin also does that at a very high level.

My post wasn't meant to be in this thread.

I posted it in the "Fall of Linsanity" thread, hit enter, and it said I wasn't signed in for some reason. So I sign back in and my post appears in this thread.

Why?

Eric Gordon, Monta Ellis, Stephen Curry and Kevin Martin should be a little higher imo.

But a very solid list you put up there.

Derrick Rose being in a lower position than Paul is huge disrespect to him.You can forget that he has won an MVP award, the youngest ever to win this. You can forget that he has a better record this year without Having 2 monsters in his team to throw them the ball high and they jump like crazy and dunk it.But you should not forget that in the LAC-CHI game someone got really HARD FUCKED by DRose.I don't remember If i said that before. But in that game it was like DRose playing against his 10 year old brother and making fun of him.

Paul is an excellent PG.Maybe the 2nd best PG in the league. But his difference from the best one(DRose) is as huge as it was when Mike played between him and the second best SG.DRose is one level above any other PG in the league.Accept it or not he is the main reason the Bulls are contenders with great possibilities to win the championship.Replace Rose with Paul in Chicago and you have a very different story.lol

Chris Paul: Best PG in the NBA!

Derrick Rose: Best player at PG position!

lol something like that. But the quality difference between them is enormous.

When you are saying that A is better than B in general speaking without positions etc it's like you are saying that A is more skilled and useful for a team.Anyone who is gonna pick Paul over Rose?Paul's mother would choose Rose for her team too without much thinking.lol

Between Paul and Rose ist´s like a 1a and 1b!

Paul is a better shooter, passer, defender and more skilled! Plus he´s smarter and has a higher basketball IQ.

Rose is the better finisher at the rim, the better scorer overall and the better leader! It´s his athleticism and his attitude (being a killer) that really gives him an edge.

I think Rose is just a bad matchup for the smaller and weaker Paul. That´s why he always seems to destroy Paul.

But it´s nowhere as clear as you make it!

Paul's turnover leads to Neal's heroics! - YouTube

I knew you would come up with that video! Tell you what: The inbound play was that Paul goes backcourt and gets the ball there! The inbounder made the terrible pass! He gave Paul the ball before he was over the line! Bad inbound play, but guess who drew it: VDN, right! The coach who still can´t draw inbound plays!

Sure it would have been better to just throw the ball out of bounds, but to realize that when you´re surprised by your teammate in that split second is impossible!

And yes, terrible matchups are possible at the same position! Rose is 3 inches taller than Paul and much stronger! Derrick even posts up guys like Jennings who have no chance to stop that! Derrick does not have the body of a normal PG!

With the logic that someone is better shooter, better passer but him being smaller and weaker makes him a bad batchup for the beasts you can say that Nash is a top3 player.

LeBron,Howard,Durant,Rose,Kobe and Wade are the beasts in 2012 and when you are making a list everyone else follows..Thankfully All-Star votes show that there are not so many blind people.

PS.I am not saying that Paul is a bad player or sth like that.I said he is probably the 2nd best PG in the game and an excellent PG.But what I am saying is that choosing him over Rose is blasphemy. And if you don't have a chance to stop a player who plays in the same position with you then you are worse than him.Less talented worse?Less skilled worse?Less intelligence worse?I don't know and it doesn't matter. But you are worse.

The fact is that DRose destroys Paul every time in a way that it is clear to everyone that he is by far the best.

I just got to work, so I'll digest the list a bit more later. The first thing I saw that I disagree with is Paul being ahead of Rose.

Paul, Nowitzki, Bryant, and Rose are all extremely interchangeable. No one here should say that one is clearly better than the rest because that is simply not true at this point.

Chris Paul's 2007-08 season was a better season than Derrick Rose or Dirk Nowitzki ever had. He was arguably robbed of the MVP award that season.

The knee injury has seemed to bring Paul down a notch but it is undeniable that he is a better on-ball defender and a better passer and three-point shooter than Rose. He is also more clutch.

Unbelievable to read these things in a Bulls forum. And it's not I am a homer or sth like this.It is the simple truth.

Bulls 28-8 (36 games)
Clippers 20-11 (31 games)

Clippers-Bulls --->Hard porn.

You can say Paul is better in on ball defense,in eating spaghetti faster,in reading articles,in this and that. And it may be true. But when you are talking overall about these 2 players...

Rose
.
.
.
.
Paul,DWill,Westbrook,Nash,Rondo etc

Rose is a top5 player right now.Lebron,Howard,Durant,Rose,Kobe.These are the best of the best right now and you can make them 6 with Wade.Every other player is behind.
