I'm not sure how Soto would be in on the mix if Detroit is looking to replace Vmart. I think they would be looking for a much bigger bat

Soto is there as value because he's still cost controlled and can play catcher to spell Avila. You are correct that a bigger bat would be more ideal, and there's some rumors suggesting the Tigers may want to look at Carlos Pena.

Soto would be a backup for the Tigers, I think a Pena or even a 3-4 year deal for Prince could be next

Pena honestly makes more sense because he'd be less expensive.

I don't care where Pena goes as long as the Cubs get that supplementary draft pick :lol:
