If you had to start a team, who would be your choice excluding Durant and Lebron.

This may be a homer answer, but I may have to go with Anthony Davis. He has been playing out of his mind and affects the game so much on each end. The best part is he is only 20. I think he is the best big man drafted since Duncan. Who would yall choose? Again, choose anyone but Lebron and Durant.

If we're talking about one player, it's a toss-up between Anthony Davis and Paul George.

Assuming CP3 comes back healthy, which he should according to all indications. This is a pretty easy one. He's one of only a handful of superstars in this league not named Durant or LeBron.

Anthony Davis is a sexy pick. CP3 is another.

I personally like Stephen Curry a lot. A team built around him might never win a title, but it'd be fun to watch.

I love CP3 and he is a superstar but he is also almost 29. The potential with Davis and his age make me lean towards him. Over 20 points a game and 10 rebounds and leads the leagues in block at 20 is pretty special. Especially, that his team has been hurt all season.

No, seriously. IDK. Are we talking about young players or any player in the league, given back their youth? If it's just young players, I'll build around Davis. I agree there.

Kobe was almost 31 when he won his championships post Shaq. LeBron was about 28. Jordan was about the same age. Name a player who lead his team to a championship in the last 20 years under the age of 25. Experience is what i'm going to build my team around not potential. Besides, i've seen Davis play, he's extremely limited as an offensive player so far in his young career.

I dont think you have seen AD play this year. You are entitled to your opinion but his offensive game has come up big time. Does it still need work? Yes, because he is only 20 but his shot is very pretty and he is an athletic freak. Plays the pick and roll nicely. He has gotten much stronger this year and should continue to fill out his frame. He may not be the strongest power forward in the game but the guy has made huge strides in just one off season. I thought he would get better but he has surpassed my expectations for a second year player.

That is a tougher question than you'd initially think. My first thought was Chris Paul...but Paul is a point guard. Only one smaller player has been a franchise player and won titles. Davis is good, but I have a feeling that some might not have mentioned Davis if not for his great game against the Bulls. I don't know, I'll have to think about it.

The Warriors are a very fun team to watch. When Curry and Thompson get hot, it is some of the funnest basketball to watch. I just have a problem starting a team with a guard. I just find big men few and far between. Guards are deep.

I would start with John Wall. He is starting to really put it together and he is learning how to pick his spots.

I would not start a team around a PG.

I think Paul George is the next logical pick. he is young, he is athletic, he can shoot the 3, and defend multiple positions. The league is trying to phase out "big" men so 2/3 guys are probably the best players to build around going forward.

I am surprised no one went with Blake Griffin and Kevin Love. I think I might go with both of those players over Davis. They are both better shooters.

Right now Davis has a lot of potential. I don't know how much better he can/will get. Right now though I think there are a handful of under players 25 and under I would take before Davis.

Neither love nor Griffin play a lick of defense, though, and with Davis' offensive arsenal evolving, he might be one of the five best players in the league in a few years.

Love doesn't play defense and doesn't have the skill to ever be a great defender. Blake has made huge strides this season and has the athleticism to be a very good defender.

Both Blake and Love are far better on the perimeter. Davis looks to have limited upside as a jump shooter, does not have a very good handle and is not a good passer. Without those skills it is going to be hard to find a 5 to pair him with. Spacing the floor is going to be hard on a team with as a 4. Also he is not very wide so it is doubtful he will ever be a good off the ball screener.

Without a doubt I take Paul George.

I just don't see Davis having the perimeter game to play 4 and the size to play 5. It kind of makes him a tweaner. The league is more perimeter oriented than ever. I don't think that is going to change anytime soon. Davis has limitation on the perimeter that are probably not going to change. No matter how good he gets his team ceiling is going to be lower because it is going to be hard to find players to pair with him.

The he might be a top player in a few years.....well, why not just take a player who is already a top player. I think George is 23. He can also play the 2, probably one of the weakest positions in the league.
