  1. New York Rangers
  1. Syracuse Orange
What makes anyone think Gase would be a good HC? It takes a lot more than x's and o's to be a good HC. It's one of the reasons Vic never got a HC gig. Some guys are just better off as coordinators. You need to be vocal, command respect, have guys rally around you/believe in you etc. Gase is still young as hell and I'm not sure he has all the qualities I just mentioned.

Who ever said he was gonna be good at being a head coach?? I'm pretty sure all that's been said is that he could get offered a head coaching job.

You're right. It's a possibility for sure and most likely, some team will gave him his chance sooner than later. I just would be skeptical giving him a HC gig if I were running a team. He's going to need a rock solid DC and he's still so young I think waiting for a while would benefit him a good deal.

There are going to be a ton of openings.

Would not shock me if Gase was easily in the top 8 guys a available.

You don't wait on becoming a HC who knows when it comes again. Unless they make you keep Tomsula.

That may be, but you also want to go into a good situation because if you flop with a bad team, that might be your last HC gig for a while. Gotta make sure not only you're ready, but you're entering a good situation and could assemble a quality staff.

Not too worried about losing Gase. Losing Fangio would suck.

if he didn't already get a head coaching job after what he did with the 49ers, I wouldn't bank on him getting one after the Bears with B-team talent.

Gase's O is really good but his play calling has been average at best and I said so early in the season. It will get better and to be fair, he's been handicapped by personnel on both sides of the ball affecting the game plan and trying to survive until the end of games.

It's just nice, for a change, to have a staff where guys would be considered for promotions.

I for one would be happy to see him go!! He keeps holding Jay back from fulfilling his greatness.

it was reported last off season that gase wouldnt take just any HC gig and that hes willing to wait for the right job.

Totally agree.

Bears Offense: Ranked 27th yards per game
Ranked 26th points per game

Bears Defense: Ranked 9th in yards per game
Ranked 29th points per game

Bears Defense doing much better than Offense

Bears Offense led by seasoned veterans

Bears Defense very young and just learning the game

Fangio > Gase
