I'm sure its already been discussed, but I think most of us have questioned VDN's system since the beginning of last season. No longer did we utilize the infamous Skiles "Drive and kick", instead seeming to use screens up top to get each player into an ISO situation, which initially didnt work out, until of course Deng (the player who struggled the most in that system) was injured and the trade was made.

However this season, due to no fault of VDN's, we don't have Gordon or anyone to space the floor and make the system effective. I'm suprised Deng has done so well considering the lack of backdoor cuts which were a staple of Dengs offense during the Skiles era.

And while everyone wants VDN fired, will it change anything? Will they be able to implement a different system, or is it too hard to change at this point of the season? Is there anything that can be done with the offense or is our team that poor offensively that nothing will improve it.

I think so long as Salmons and Hinrich are sucking it up from 3 that any scheme is going to be hard to make work. It's pretty hard to make a good offense based on a mid-range game, because a mid-range game is inefficient crap.
