Looking to throw something in the back patio to play music on. Leaning towards something either Bluetooth or AirPlay based so I can easily stream stuff off devices. Anyone have any recommendations?

Edit> Sound quality / volume / durability more important than portability etc. I don't mind needing them to be near a power source vs battery.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008CZSPWK *edit* ignore this suggestion. I just saw what drivers they decided to use, and there is no way I'd suggest this myself.

I don't know if that suites you. A lot of my reputable audio tech friends love these things, and apparently they perform better than cabs that cost double. I'm not a wireless speaker person in any configuration, and despite being a pro, this is not my best subject.

Thanks mang! I'm not opposed to a wired solution. I used to use a Linksys wireless music bridge hooked up to a receiver with better speakers, but I'm not sure how relevant that is now / what my options are. That ****** was a nightmare to get working optimally though...and I generally know my way around this stuff. Bottom line, I want to be able to fire up Grooveshark / media playing application to hit my library and play that stuff through an easy to use / good sounding setup in my back porch (without needing to hook up any cables to the output devices).

 Why not just get a decent boombox that you can take in and out with you. BT boomboxes exist, and then you also have the potential options of radio/cd/ipod mount(and other inputs).

Brent Butterworth is pretty straight forward, doesn't try to plug brands as bad as most audiotech editors and writers.
