If he is with the White Sox next year, I will be so mad. I will probably kill myself before the all-star break. Which sucks, because I'm going to the all-star game.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Toledo Rockets
The Sox extended his contract by picking up his option for 2012 to make him happy and secure in 2011 after coming off a bad 2010.

Now he's saying he won't honor his contract in 2012 unless the Sox guarantee him another year of salary for 2013? He's legally obligated to manage for the sox in 2012 unless the Sox decide otherwise, yet he is basically declaring that the contract he has for 2012 is only binding on the White Sox but not on him. He's trying to extort yet another year or more from his "Daddy" Reinsdorf.

- Not my own thought, but it sums it up good.

Ozzie had his shot. He won one. Now its time to move on. And he should take Kenny Williams with him!

Basically he is afraid of being fired mid-season.

I've seen Reinsdorf wants KW and Ozzie to both stay as GM and Manager.

I'm becoming a Red Sox fan.

Half-sarcasm.

Why do you think that Coop will be fired?

It wouldn't be so much Cooper getting fired as it would be LaRussa bringing Duncan with him from St. Louis. They've been together for quite some time and I wouldn't think he would come to Chicago without him.

True. I wouldn't mind having Duncan, but I really like Cooper.

It's close, but between the two I like Duncan a little more. Not taking anything away from Coop, but Ducan has done more with less.

Yeah. Duncan is very good. Turned Wainwright into a Cy Young candidate. Made Jaime Garcia good. And a bunch of others....
