Except........this season we'll have both Watson AND Wilson, who will each play a half and score 35 points each. Thus, ending in a score of 70-33.

yeah see, it looks like a consensus is forming. WE will have Watson AND Wilson, yep you betcha.

Their starting back should be a cap casualty as well

see, it's genius. I'm looking forward to all the fleecing Ryan Pace is going to execute. he better win GM of the year. possibly GM of a lifetime.

Damn, looks like Rodgers will only be able to put up 30 points on the bears instead of 33.
it won't matter when Rusty is dropping 42 on their asses!

It's obviously just a formality at this point.

They've already had to cut their starting inside linebacker and right tackle and are still eleven million over. Linsley is a free agent, they don't actually get any cap flexibility when he walks. Same applies to Aaron Jones.

They can still cut Preston Smith and Dean Lowry to save about that eleven million but that leaves the Packers down five starters as cap casualties with no money left over to replace anyone. This is why it was so absurdly foolish to spend a first round pick on Jordan Love last year.

Even though the Bears are complete shit they have cap problems too so not really a point to think about free agents

Technically, nobody is over the cap until they decide on a Cap.

And all these cap casualties are before they further address Rodgers request for more in his contract. It will be interesting to see how they address the roster holes but at least (for now) the most important position on the team isn't one of them so I feel better about their future than the Bears :(

They lost two starters on the offensive line. Rodgers may be able to make it work with a bunch of nobodies at wide receiver but if the Packers offensive tanks he wont last long.

don't forget Bahktirai will also be coming off an ACL tear as well.

Packers played the lowest rated schedule in the league (according to one metric). I think we'll see a return to a bitchy Rogers when he doesn't have time to throw next year.

You always have to remember the Packers and their offensive line "blocking technique" they teach which is basically a disguised hold but is rarely called (I'm sure it's been posted here but here is a breakdown of the technique they teach
). The Pack have been pretty good at plugging in players across the line and getting decent performance. I'm hopeful the exit of some of their big names will help their downward spiral start but I also could see them still hold on to "average performance" from their linemen as they plug new players in due to their schemes and techniques.

He will come to the Bears and draw 29 holding calls during the regular season realizing he’s not getting the Rodgers treatment. Aaronitout will still try to back up his stance with some BS excuse.

Well with the Packers its not just the holds you take, but the holds you give. Nobody can forget the game against the Colts when the Packers were dead in the water and Indy got five or six straight holding calls against them to wind up at some cartoonish third and sixty scenario. So yeah, the Packers will always get the refs on their side it goes without saying. They still cannot be happy about losing Ricky Wagner and Corey Linsley in the same off-season, especially since these guys did provide quite a bit in the run game and the Packers offense moves way better when it can crack off those eight yards runs periodically.
