Panic at the gas pump!

Just when I start feeling good about Texans... somebody decided to spook the locals about a gas shortage today thus causing the locals to flock to the pump. There were blocks long lines leading to gas stations as paniced Texans created gridlock and of course manufacturing a gas shortage by draining all staions of what gas they had on hand. The mayor, and anyone in authority is basically saying to calm the **** down, there is no shortage and plenty of gas to be delivered. Of course no one listens.

Problem with today's world of instant gratification is people forget(or never learned to begin with) how market signaling works. Especially in a crisis, where it works best.

I haven't bothered to leave the house since Thursday night but the news says San Antonio is still in gas buying panic mode
