Panthers firs a couple of coaches

He gets a lot of flak but I wouldn't be against Shula coming here as OC. He has a good track record of getting the most out of his QB's. I also like his commitment to the run game.

I think we'd all love Flip as our OC but with Nagy called the plays i think it's gonna be hard to get any of the bigger name OC's to come to Chicago to be our OC.

looking at a couple of flip's options if he doesn't land a HC gig:

stay with philly where he'll still just be a QB coach because reich is still there at OC. wentz might be out all of 2018 recovering from his ACL, so their season is riding on the success of nick foles.

or he can come to the bears, get a promotion to OC, and works with trubisky all year in a developmental role since nagy is going to playcall, but still gets to sharpen his skills working side-by-side with nagy on the offensive system.

i see the bears as a sneaky-good situation when comparing the two.

Flip is not calling plays now and is only a QBC......could be a good step towards HC

Definitely a possibility but the good news with Nagy is the offense stays out with an OC removal. I would take a few year rental with Flip as OC, especially the early years for Mitch to develop.
