Urologists have seen a dramatic rise in testicular injury in teenage boys. It is due to so called sack tapping in high schools in which kids are ambushed and punched in the testicles. I'm glad I'm out of high school ouch. :!:

See the problem is kids take this way too far. I'm 21 and I still get sack tapped sometimes by buddies as a joke, but it's a light "tap" not a Mike Tyson right hook. It's more of a "Oh, I caught you in a vulnerable position" type deal. Or a "What's the capital of Taiwan?" joke. If your gonna swing for the fences on your buddies nuts, you deserve to get punched in the face.

And all the *** haircuts and interest in dudes' junk - what is this generation trying to tell us?

Well don't have "open nuts" and it won't happen. Open nut awareness should be being taught.

See. My wife always gets on me for thinking I am rubbing my nuts, but really I am just protecting them. Open nut awareness is the utmost paramount for men to be aware of. Word to yo motha.

Biscuit the reason women rub their eyes when they get up in the morning is because they don't have balls to scratch. Tell your wife it is all relative.

My youngest took a foot to the region this weekend. Being 7 year olds some kids enjoy testing to see who has their cup on and who doesn't. My kids where them always. I saw the other kid kick him and promptly tore him a new one. No really knowing me the kid nearly shit himself. I then told my son if anyone ever does that again he has my full permission to beat the hell out of the other kid and he will face no repercutions from me and that I will take care of the other kid's parents.

This. Having grown up in the 80's/90's with this zero tolerance bullshit perpetuated by asshats that think we should all be like REM's song "Shiny Happy People", it's a point in which the system has failed.

As far as I'm concerned, if you have a kid and you punish them for defending themselves, you've failed as a parent and should commit hari-kiri with a rusty screwdriver. Yes, yes, I know violence is not the best way to solve problems, but newsflash for you--we're humans and in a considerable number of incidents, violence is the only way to solve the problem.

Nothing deters bullying better than fighting back, and sack tapping is bullying.

Kids need to learn early that they have the right to defend themselves. I can see how a kid like my son, a well mannered respectful little boy, would have reservations about turning on someone that does something like this. He has been told that I will under no circumstances accept his bullying of other kids; however, he now understands that he doesn't have to take a foot in the nuts, punch to the face or any other physical action against him passively.

As for the other kid, I hope I scared him enough that he doesn't ever do it again.
