Patrick Williams on the block

It’s hard to call the Bulls’ embarrassing loss Friday to the Hornets rock bottom for their front office, especially when the floor continues sinking. It’s no secret executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas has been actively shopping veterans Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic since the summer, hoping to acquire draft assets and build a better future. But now it’s becoming clear that even some pieces the Bulls were counting on to be part of that future are looking more suspect than prospect. A source Saturday told the Sun-Times that Karnisovas finally has bought in to the idea that 23-year-old forward Patrick Williams needs a change of scenery, opening the door for him to be on the trade block, too.

What a terrible decision to re-sign this guy. Showed nothing in 4 years and they decide to lock him for 5 years.

Like... they didn't know this shit about him a year ago before deciding to extend him?

Most here wanted him on the chopping block after year 1 went his value was still high. The rest came around by year 2 trade deadline.

Only the Bulls.

Time to do this was 2 seasons ago. Not after you give him 20m a year in a market you know is counting every penny due to stringent salary cap rules and he's having the worst year of his career.

Players develop at different rates. Some take 6 years and that's not easy for impatient fans. But W T F, don't overpay them. That's the Jerry way, and it hasn't really paid off.

YA THINK if you're cheap, you might avoid doing this over and over again.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Pat were to get traded, that he suddenly looks like an All Star. That's just the kind of luck I expect these days

Odds of an alien invasion are higher than Pat ever resembling an all star. He’s fucking garbage
