Just finished revamping the water cooling loop on my PC so I could overclock my GPUs and CPU further. One might look at those radiators and say "what the ****" but this ***** is dishing out 800 Watts of heat just off the three GPUs and another 130 Watts for the CPU. Without including the extra wattage of heat for the overclocks. So 930 Watts of heat is a fuckload to deal with hence the overkill sized radiators.

Config:

Alienware Aurora R4 ALX (only original parts left are the case and motherboard)
Intel Core i7 4930K @ 4.2GHz with Koolance CPU-380I waterblock (will be higher later)
32GB 4x8GB Mushkin Redline 1600MHz 7-8-8-24 quad channel kit
Diamond R9 295X2 w/ nickel plated EK waterblock + black backplate
Diamond R9 290X w/ nickel plated EK waterblock + black backplate
256GB Micron M550 Solid State Drive (smallish for my taste and waiting for 1TB Samsung 850 Pro to drop in price)
1TB WD VelociRaptor mechanical storage drive
OCZ ZX1250W PSU
EK-DBAY pump/reservoir 120mm + 360mm Alphacool NexXxos Monstas with EK and Alphacool fittings

The purpose of this system is gaming at 4K resolution.

btw, have you heard of the Crucial MX100 or MX200 SSD series? I know those samsungs are the bomb, but I hear real good things about the MX100s and there is not much performance drop.

Yeah I have heard of em. The SSD that makes me want to rip my cloths off bukakke all over it is Intel's PCI-E NVMe SSD they are releasing. That thing is mother fucking blazing fast as holy shit. Its at a bare minimum 4x as fast as ANY consumer SSDs that use SATA. The problem is that SATA is already an aging connection for boot or storage drives so PCI-E is the remaining connection capable of those holy shit speeds.

The Intel 750 NVMe. Comes in 400GB and 1.2TB flavors.

If I knew for a fact that my motherboard would support it as a boot drive I wouldn't even give a shit about dropping $1029.99 on the 1.2TB drive. Its literally that fucking amazing fast.

I am still waiting around for Samsung to release the 4K Freesync monitors they were supposed to be making. I have the non-freesync 28" UD590 which in itself is a pretty sweet monitor considering its a TN panel. Most monitor snobs prefer IPS panels but frankly I prefer the low response times of TN panels over the added color quality of IPS panels.

That would be 1440p or 1080p then. 4K is limited to 60Hz for now with DisplayPort 1.2a. HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.3 will both support 120Hz 4K signals whenever the hell those monitors make their way to the public.

Nice to see a nerd such as myself posting their computer pics in the forum. Xero it does look like one of the tubes is crimped, may need to cut it a bit shorter. Very cool setup breh.

But....I also have this.

One of the hoses in particular was a massive pain in the ass to put in and after dealing with leaking defective fittings during the first leak test I was so pissed off at having to drain the loop. So I said **** the bullshit and I just bent the hose as far as I could just a few degrees short of kinking. Its the hose that connects from the back of the small radiator to the 290X's (top video card) waterblock. I had all sorts of rotary fittings I was going to use to pretty it up but once shit was leaking I was like **** the noise and just put in a generic ass fitting and pushed my luck on the hose making the turn. Performance-wise the flow is still fine. Its a PWM controlled pump and I run it at like 75% which is somewhere over 2000RPM. GPU load temps are high 40's to mid 50's and CPU temps vary quite a bit depending on how high of a load. Non-CPU intensive games will be in the 50's while CPU intensive games can hit mid to high 60's.

Those temps sound pretty good.

Here is what I have for comparison:

i7 4770k @ 4.0 ghz ~65-75 deg under max load
gtx 780 X2 ~70-75 deg under max load on a graphics intensive game

My cpu runs kind of hot at idle and doing bullshit like internet and powerpoint and spreadsheets or whatever and has always kinda pissed me off.

I idle like around 38 deg and 40-45 or so for when doing non gaming shit.

That ain't too shabby at all for air cooling honestly. I don't really pay attention to idle temps but I just checked em and GPUs idle at 31 + or - 1 degree between one GPU and the next. Since the coolant flows through all three in a daisy chain so to speak each GPU is one degree hotter than the other at load. So if GPU1 is at 45 GPU2 is at 46 and GPU 3 is at 47. CPU at idle is around 37C. These Hawaii cores really are fucking heat producing sumbishes.

Thanks. I only make these Special person builds every like 5-6 years or so because each one reminds me how much of a pain in the ass they are.
