In Capers’ NASCAR defense, Matthews and Peppers are joined by Nick Perry and Mike Neal in a four-linebacker front. It’s a passing-downs defense meant to rush the passer and disguise coverage. It was one of the stars of yesterday’s 38-17 over the Carolina Panthers. Peppers was credited with 1½ sacks, a tackle for a loss and two quarterback hurries on Sunday.

So last year... we'll just blame Mel Tucker?

Nah, he was probably hurt. I'm not saying they shouldn't have moved on. I'm just pointing out that he isn't as done as people wanted to make him out to be.

Pep with his second long TD of the season. The Wisconsin air must agree with him.

Easier to rush the passer when you're always playing with a lead?

Definitely true. See the difference it made for Willie and Jared today. Peppers had the poison pill in his contract and had to move on but it is laughable to think he was washed up as some around here and other places said.
