This has been a huge problem for him for 35 years. That $40M was only over 4 years. I imaging $80M over his life

The guy has a squeeky clean image but others know him differently. Here is a story for you. 15 years ago I sponsored a big corporate golf outing at my country club. My company gave me carte blanche to spend anything. I hired Hall of Fame golfer Curtis Strange to attend the outing and play a hole with each foursome. He cost $40K for the afternoon on top of the $22K we spent for the outing

Before the match Curtis held a 30 minute clinic on the driving range and everyone crowded around to ask questions. Curtis was just the Ryder Cup Captain and had both Phil and Tiger on his team. Stories were that Tiger was an asshole. Someone asked if this was true and Curtis said it was just the opposite. That Phil was all about the camera but a dick in the locker room and that Tiger was really the good guy

You had a decent thread going, worthy of discussion. Then you have to tell this shit. Even if it were true, you sound like a little dicked, name dropping, loser. Be better.

All true. Hosted many huge golf outings in my life.

I have stories of personal encounters with Steve Jobs, Walter Payton, Gary Fencik, Carly Fiorini and Mark Hurd. Of course you have never heard of the last 2 but that's just an indication of your small circle of influence.

Sorry, that you have lived such a small life that you can't imagine this

Can you imagine being in your 70s and posting the above? I mean, there aren't enough teeth to cringe over it

No one cares, that’s great. Sounds like a great time and I am happy it was the high point in your imaginary life, Bob.

You cared enough to respond

Living in your $25/hr life, I know you cant imagine knowing anyone meaningful. I make the mistake that I'm dealing with peers here with similar experiences

Wasn’t Phil in the news a few years ago complaining about taxes?

It's like the people who go on Twitter and manage to work into a tweet that it's their brithday, while corresponding with complete strangers. Creepy.

I remember that vaguely, but not the details. But his gambling losses may very well be why he was so hot for the Saudi tour. Get paid even when you have zero chance of winning. That's what he needs now.

Didn't Phil also have a couple of issues with insider trading?
