**** it, Danielle was out all night yesterday with her friends and forgot to throw a load of laundry in OR vacuum the living room. I'm not letting her in the house tonight.

I'm turning the front porch into a pillow and blanket fort. Anyone else miss having these fucking things? I remember making one in my parents' basement as a kid. I brought my TV down from my room and hooked up my Super Nintendo. NO GIRLS ALLOWED.

My sister and her girl friend made them all the time. My girls now make them. I was too busy with fire when I was young

If you hook up a box fan at one end facing in it will all blow outward into an igloo-type shape giving you much more interior space. Blanket forts ftw!

I used to take all the cushions off anything I could find (couch, chairs etc) and build walls out of them. Blankets / sheets served as a roof generally. The box fan is a great idea, never occurred to me.

**** yea, Blanket forts rule! I remember making huge forts that covered almost the entire living room. Now I'm starting to help my girlfriends daughter build them. I can't believe there's a Wikipedia page about blanket forts, that's funny

I'm all grown up and married and I still make blanket forts... only difference now is they're called Dutch ovens.

I remember making blanket forts all the time. One time, I put the blanket on our crappy in the wall heater and never even thought about it (kids don't). It wasn't until later that I noticed the brown burn marks on my favorite dinosaur blank and figured out what they were from...

Whew, dodged a bullet on that one!

I won't lie, I bought some crappy blankets about two years ago, and built an entire for around my bed. It was bad ass.

I made a promise to myself when I was around 8, maybe 9 years old that when I was an adult I would do cool shit. The blanket fort was part of that promise to myself.

How about tying bed sheets to the top bunk and making a hammock?

My kids do these all the time. During the summer they'll even make beach towel forts when we go to the beach or pool.

You should make a blanket fort tonight, it's worth it. And, playing in the big boxes that stuff came in was always more fun than what you did with the original product
