Horrendous.

Mike Wallace, Marquis Lee, Paul Richardson and Corey Coleman are all better options than the guys you mentioned.

I just can't come around on the M.Wallace thing cause i've always hated the WR's that do nothing but make long TD catches and nothing else. Now Wallace did do some things last year besides just going long but isn't he 31-32 now?

There's still gonna be veterans who get cut as well and you never know who it could be but i've seen good ones get cut before so that option is still out there as well.

If nothing of value in FA then the draft is the answer......

I wouldn't mind taking a gamble on Corey Coleman and John Brown. Robinsons and Watkins are still priority #1. If they could stay healthy we would have a lot of shifty fast guy

x- Robinsons / White
z- Coleman / Brown
s- Wilson / Wright

Move on to the draft and adjust your expectations for this season downward.

plan B is draft Calvin Ridley at #8.

I've been hoping for plan B if it means the Bears upgrade elsewhere. Andrew Norwell, Kyle Fuller, Malcolm Butler, Trumaine Johnson, Avery Williamson, NaVorrow Bowman, Muhammad Wilkerson, etc. Just to name a few since the Bears have multiple holes. The available WR's don't stand out to me. Not really a lot of players standing out at any position, one maybe two tops.

Maybe the Bears could trade a pick or picks for a WR. I know some people don't want/like Dez Bryant but if they could trade something like both of their 4th round picks then I think it would be worth it. DeMaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders are other options. Not sure who else is on the trade block.

If using the #8 to draft a WR not worth the 8th overall pick is Plan B, we need a Plan C.

How do you know he is not worth the #8? People compare him to Amari Cooper. Cooper was the #4 pick.

My favorite plan b options are John Brown, Donte Montcreif, and Jordan Matthews.

All have proven they have the talent to succeed if they are in the right position and can stay healthy.

Only others worthy considerations are Terrell Pryor, Paul Richardson, and Albert Wilson.

These alternative options are dick ripping bad. If we miss out in FA then both round 2 and 4 of the draft will be the move.

4th round is not a plan for 2018. If you're going to the draft for 2018 you'd better consider rounds 1 and 2. Even with that you'll be lucky if the 2nd round has an instant starter quality WR. Most of those will probably be gone mid-late 1st round.

I think Wallace is a little more than just a deep threat.

2nd AND 4th. 2nd round at pick 39 is definitely going to have instant day 1 starters.

Depends on if the first WR in the first kicks off a run and how much of a run. There will definitely be some who will be a contributor in 2018 but most who will be left at #39 will need to be brought up to speed. They may play in game one but they'll be on dumbed down routes so limited use.

I'm talking in case of complete FA flop, that will make Ridley worth reaching or trading back for and very possibly also taking a #39 WR (and I would hate drafting WRs #8 and #39, that would be painful, trading back would only ease that pain slightly).

Draftees are always compared to name guys. It is called HYPE.

Seriously...do you think comparing someone to Bellamy is going to get them many clicks?

WRs from R2P1 to R2P16 for the last 5 drafts.

NameRecYardsTD
Zay Jones273162
Curtis Samuel151150
Sterling Shepard656838
Michael Thomas921,1379
Devin Smith91151
Dorial Green-Beckham325494
Devin Funchess314735
Marquise Lee374221
Jordan Matthews678728
Paul Richardson292711
Justin Hunter183544
Robert Woods405873
Median31.5447.53.5

That median WR would rank 129th in receptions, 95th in yards, and 71st in TDs. If you don't have Michael Thomas, most rookie WRs taken around that point just aren't that good Y1.
