Ive been a Pat Foley guy for a long time but as Im watching the replay of game 7, Ive realized just how good Doc Emrick is at what he does and why he does all the top national games. The excitement in his voice, his knowledge of the players and the game itself is simply the best. But I think his biggest asset is knowing when to shut up after a big goal or play and let the players and crowd take over. He just makes an already exciting sport that much better.

I like Doc, but I agree everything is a big deal. He definitely gets my heart racing during games and then I'm like CALM DOWN IT WASN'T EVEN A BIG DEAL.

Like on a slapper from the blue line way wide he gets excited like its a goal. Scares the crap out of me.

Whatever he does, I'll take it. These two nimrods doing today's game are yawn inducing.

The problem is that Pierre pretty much always accompanies Doc.

Doc and Eddie O are doing the remainder of the Pens/Boston series..

We are stuck with Panger and crew.

And I like Doc... But Pat Foley owns Doc up and down the street.

So I gather from this thread that Diehard loved Panger and Strader from the start
