One of these first three ways must happen...right? I like our position now and I think we're in =)

"Chicago will clinch a berth in the MLS Cup Playoffs IF

Chicago Fire win vs. New York Red Bulls on Sunday

OR

New England Revolution tie or lose vs. Columbus Crew on Sunday

OR

Houston Dynamo tie or lose vs. D.C. United on Sunday

OR

Chicago Fire tie vs. New York Red Bulls on Sunday AND
Score 5 goals more than MTL does in tie vs. Toronto FC on Saturday OR
Montréal Impact lose vs. Toronto FC on Saturday

OR

Chicago Fire lose vs. New York Red Bulls on Sunday AND
Score 5 goals more than MTL does in loss vs. Toronto FC on Saturday"

Ha!

I know Columbus and D.C. aren't good but maybe one of them can force a tie....maybe. I know New York is good but one of these methods surely must happen....here's hoping.

Let's hope it doesn't go like this...

Chicago Fire do not qualify IF…

- Chicago draw at New York AND New England win at Columbus AND Houston win at D.C.

- Chicago loss at New York AND New England win at Columbus AND Houston win at D.C.

Houston is playing the #19 ranked team, Montreal is playing the #18 ranked team and New England is playing the #16 ranked team in the league. Oh and we are playing the #1 ranked team, so if we tie/lose we will need help from the bottom feeders. The good thing is Houston and Montreal games will be over and New England game will be at half time before we start our game. We should know what we will need to get to make the playoffs.

10/26 Montreal at Toronto
10/27 Houston at DC United (1:30pm)
10/27 New England at Columbus (3:00pm)
10/27 FIRE at New York (4:00pm)

Whatever happens in the Montreal is or isn't going to get us in the playoffs (It would be nice if they lost).
Houston tie/lose then we clinch a playoffs spot.
New England tie/lose then we clinch a playoff spot (we will only know the halftime score by time we kick off).

- Chicago loss at New York AND New England win at Columbus AND Houston win at D.C.

I think it's going to take a win at New York for us to make the playoffs.

Looks like we had a lucky day yesterday. Chicago Controls their own destiny and could clinch b4 even finishing our game. this would be ideal given whom we are playing
