Maybe a strange thread, but maybe it will benefit others just as much as I hope it benefits me.
I recently had a bad experience with "dislikes" of my posts (just yesterday actually)
While the impact was much bigger than what I'll detail here, I did receive FIFTEEN negs from just TWO individuals yesterday, for random posts.
These two users combined to decrease my "likes to post ratio" of 74.7791%. to 74.7332%
That is a difference of .0459% that was caused by you two in just a SINGLE DAY.
Now, not being a petty individual (AT ALL) I did not decide to dislike these users back in retaliation. One of them only has FOUR POSTS on CCS (LOL) and the other I had never even heard of either.
Instead, I made an effort to reach out to them VIA the PM feature to find out what the deal was and more importantly, what sort of deal we could agree to that could rectify the disliking situation.
Well, lets just say that @Beardown11 and @noprophet decided to **** all over this potential reconciliation opportunity and derail the whole conversation into a discussion of their political beliefs, grievances over emojis and capitalization, cursing, etc.
It went absolutely NOWHERE. No deal, not even a discussion of a deal. It's likely I will never get those 15 dislikes removed.
So, I'm assuming others on here have had very similar experiences and decided to do something actionable about mine. If you share this sort of user experience regarding unsolicited disliking activity from inactive members you have never even seen or interacted with before, post about it here.
Then, I will like your post.
If I can get FIFTEEN LIKES for this OP, I will make a commitment to return the favor to anyone that requests this "fix" in this thread, and will monitor it going forward, into perpetuity.
Thanks.
