I can kind of see Thibs point. I think he feels the Heat got too many points in the paint, and too many easy transition baskets. The Bulls also didn't box out as well as they normally do which led to a rebounding edge for the Heat.

Overall, I think the Bulls defense was fine, just a little weak in those areas. Of course, I think Thibs believes if an opponent scores any points the Bulls haven't done a good enough job defensively. I think he's looking for a shutout!

The biggest factor was rebounding and the Bulls not scoring on second chance opportunities. And what was up with Rose not finishing at the rim? He couldn't hit the floor if you threw him at it.

The other factor was not making FT's.

The defensive rebounding was poor. And the majority of rebounds players got their hands on were either 1) knocked out of their hands by a Heat player or 2) went carroming out of bounds. There were many instances in the game, especially the 3rd where the D was extremely poor on rotating & getting back in transition. I'm certain that's what Thibs is pissed about & I completely agree.

However, overall we did a pretty good job but the shots just didn't fall. My only knock on Thibs this game is he stuck with Korver waaaay too long in the 4th. When his shot is not falling, he needs to be pulled right away. The constant pick & roll w/ LBJ & Bibby at the end of the game pretty much turned the tide. I couldn't believe that Thibs still hadn't put Brewer back in.

plus, when the refs miss a double dribble and call fouls everytime he is touched, he will rack up points

What I don't get is, even though D-Rose was having an off-nite (which happens, even to MVPs) he wasn't doing anything to create for his teammates. Rose couldn't finish anything to save his life last night, but that doesn't mean he couldn't be a playmaker.

When he drive it takes 2, sometimes even 3 defenders collapsing the paint. He should kick it out to an open teammate, instead he kept hoisting up wild air balls and turning it over. We need a better offensive gameplan for Game 3. More of the Rose/Boozer high pick-n-roll that we saw in Game 6 versus Atlanta.

He still had 8 assists anyway. If they knocked down their shots, it's more like 12 assists and we probably win. He did get mugged a few times at the rim which is why he missed so wildly. Reffing was just terrible.

the rotation from Korver and Boozer was absolutely HORRIBLE!

Go back and watch when LeBron started taking over the game late in the 4th, watch how Korver was basically getting in Deng way and giving LeBron space to hit those shots

if Korver is not hitting shots, Bulls CANNOT afford to leave him out their LATE in the game because LeBron and Wade seems to TARGET HIM late in that game 2

And Boozer....UGH!
