I agree. Saw a news thing months ago on how the big breweries are buying micro breweries, but keep the microbrew look and don't put their name on it at all. They are also making their own "micro brews" such as Coors with Third Shift. They have a micro brew packaging look and name, with no mention of "Coors" on the product.

Yeah..... chicago. Their most popular beer is named after the area code but brewed in New York, and they company is owned by St. Louis. And no it wasn't just 312. Others were moved to New Hampshire. If you want to use Goose Island fine... but at least sent them one of the good beers that is still brewed here like Sofie or Matilda. Or the Bourbon County.

I would have been happier to see LA be forced to send 5000 one way tickets to LAX distributed to the various corner beggars on the street.

The bet is lopsided in favor of the LA mayor.

The take for him was a lot better.

Too bad he'll never see it.. Lol

I always find these bets between mayors etc... To be completely Special person.

Even more Special person than Q's adaptability with coaching changes.

To be honest, those French Dip Sandwiches and Pastrami Sandwiches are legendary.... Trust me... And Rahm better send one of those my way.

But I agree with Grimlock... our sending is much better.

Welcome Grimlock. Always liked the Dinobots.

i am not impressed with much from the LA area. My sister lives out there and when I helped her move out there the only thing that i noticed was they can't drive out there. In and Out burger was ok, but here are a dozen better burger joints in the Chicago area.

I have to kind of agree... they have some amazing places out there and things that I would love to eat, but in my limited experience, nothing that I couldn't get here just as good.

Philippe's and Langer's are two hole-in-the-wall joints... Langer's is a deli known very much for their pastrami sandwiches... Other well-known delis include Weiler's and Solley's out there.

As for Philppe's, its a franchise all its own near Union Station. Its served French-dipped sandwiches for more than 100 years. In other words, its some damn good shit and I'm not kidding.

If any of you go to LA for a visit, I highly recommend any of the places I mentioned.

But in a counter argument.... considering what we have here, we are sort of spoiled in a way.
