Portugal the Man's Van Stolen in Chicago

Stolen at Lollapalooza. Basically all their van, trailer, and all their gear was stolen. As they even said, it's not about the money it's about losing their sound. It's not easy to replace a band's unique sound.

How do they even left something like this happen, not only the band but lolla, it had to be parked in a secure area? Unless it was at the hotel or something. Just crazy and sucks for the band, but you gotta fire the driver.

"Quick Update...The Van & Trailer have been recovered. They are both EMPTY. We will not know the condition of the them until we get to see them in the next few hours. Hopefully they are intact."

It was parked in a monitored garage or parking lot from what I read.

It sucks... but a lot of times even monitored parking lots/garages have signs posted that lost items aren't the responsibility of the garage operators/owners.



I'll have to post this on FB too, Phranchk - if anything we need to get those serial numbers out there.

Yes, but I've also been told that those signs are nothing but a deterrent for would be law-suits and they are actually responsible no matter how many signs they post.
