stolen from realgm

http://chicago.cbslocal.com/audio/the-spiegel-and-goff-show/

In Hour 4 of the Spiegel and Goff show today, they had Joe Cowley on to talk a little about the Bulls, and around the 14:21 mark is when things start to get a little interesting. I brought this up in the PG thread when it happened, but I figured this may deserve its own thread.

To summarize: Both Goff and Cowley are starting to hear rumblings about how Paxson and Forman's relationship is beginning to deteriorate. Cowley says they are starting to turn on each other as things get worse, and that one of them (Forman) has been trying to promote himself with other teams in the league, telling them that this isn't his fault. He knows he's the odd man out in this thing if Reinsdorf makes any decisions to fire one of them.

does Joe Cowley love drama or what? lol i wouldn't mind this being true we need to get a more likable guy as GM

I don't think now is the time for finger pointing and panic. The Bulls have so much room to improve chemistry together, they need to keep gelling all the way to playoffs.

It may be Bowman that brings all this drama. They were 1-18 from 3 at one point and yet teetering on fighting back to within ten despite gasol going 1-8. If Gasol is not going, Brooks and Mirotic play their worst games of season, we are 1-18 from 3, and Butler can't figure out how to play WITH Rose,

I'm happy with what I saw against one of the greatest passing and shooting teams to ever play the game.

Rose forced a panic timeout, which they emerged from with Clay Thompson on Rose. Rose absolutely clowned that decision and blew past him 3 times in a row. They were in trouble for half a minute and then they just reigned about 5 consecutive 3's and pushed us back out of touch.

Paxson is the brighter basketball mind and I think the better GM

Forman is more of a people person. Which is frightening because he's a total douche.

Crowley: Hmmm ... there's not enough of a rift on this team this year. I must make a new one up.

I mean, it wouldn't surprise me if it were true. The Bulls are treading water right now, we keep hearing this "agenda" talk and guys needing to be accountable, and Paxson is a hot head....it makes sense that this could be happening. I'm sure Gar is feeling the pressure because as eluded to, if JR gives someone the axe, it's going to be Gar.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was true. It's not like Paxson hasn't been involved in some drama type shit before.

They sure did get a lot better when he came on board.
I'm sure he's had input, but he's not as involved as he was under the Lakers or Grizzlies I'm sure.

Both should have been fired years ago.

I am embarrassed every time the words "Bulls" and "championship contender" are mentioned in the same sentence.

The Bulls are a joke, and you can mostly blame Paxson for this. He simply doesn't have the vision or creativity to put a winning roster together.

I thought he was one of the people saying that last year draft class was overrated and the Warriors should take Curry. I could be wrong on that though.
