Corny did a great job. I am very happy and proud that the fans responded with a proper Chicago Anthem rendition.
I can't believe how long Jim held some of those notes at the end. It was cool seeing his reaction when he finished, "whew!"

No surprise Jim nailed it again. Great voice. Don't know how many of you have ever had the chance to talk to him but some of the stories he has from singing the anthem at various events in the last few years are pretty good, how he does it I have no idea.

I have had the opportunity to chat with Jim several times. Not only is his rendition chilling it is so moving but he is just one heckuva nice guy.

It was a great anthem in deed. But I honestly thought he did it better that morning in warmups. I don't know if he was getting caught up in the emotions or whatever, but his practice run through was the best I've ever heard. Maybe he was just using it to try out what was going to work and what he wanted to do but either way both of them were killer.
Something I thought of, I expected to see a flyby, then was kinda shocked there wasn't then after thinking about it thought maybe it would be seen as tasteless or something? A flyby on 9/11... probably not the best idea?

They did a flyby at other arenas. I don't think it would have been tasteless.
I loved Cornelison's anthem, but on this occasion I would have preferred silent reverence as it was marking a very solemn moment in United States history. You could definitely tell that he put all he had into the anthem and he was exhausted at the end. Very moving.

I thought all the NFL arenas observed a moment of silence yesterday? Biscuit?
I also thought a flyover would happen and not be tasteless.

I know they did a moment of silence, but I'm talking about silence during the anthem. I'm usually a huge fan of the Hawks version. Just saying this one time I would have preferred a non-Cornelison one. Having said that, it still gave me chills.

Yeah, I didn't see if they did flyby's else where, I couldn't figure out if there was a reason they didn't do one? Haven't they done one before?

I don't know why but I love those things. I thought they were incredibly dangerous because of all the moving parts and over complicatedness of them?

According to the big screen, it appeared that all had a moment of silence at the same time. For their respected start times of course.
I knew there was not going to be a fly over since the radio guy was not (1) on the southern roof, or (2) by the southwest tunnel or outside of the yellow lines behind the Bears bench.
Personally I thought it would have been ok, but I am sure that since the moment exists strictly because of planes some would object. Then again, I never really know sometimes why there are fly overs other than for the nationally\lots'o'markets broadcast games.
