Does anyone have any experience with designing posters? I am interested in having a poster made for A Christmas Story, the play. Let me know.

I have made several, several flyers -- but with the software I'm currently running, the best I could probably do for you would be to make a publisher document and you'd have to have it enlarged.

Let me know what dimensions you want it to be and I can "try" to whip something up.

Basically looking for a regular 8.5x11 sheet(or in that form)

Here is what I need on the poster:

On the top "The Rantoul Theatre Group and MIX 94.5 Presents"

Also the title should read: Jean Shepherd's A Christmas Story Adapted By Philip Grecian

The names of Jean Shepherd and Philip Grecian can't be less than 50% the font size of "A Christmas Story"

I need the information of the theatre. Just put down sample Theatre Name, Address, City and Zip, Phone Number, and Website. If I want to use yours I will give you the information to input.

I also need the showtimes: December 3, 4, 10, 11 - 7:30 PM December 5 & 12 - 2 PM

Finally I need Directed by Blake Quinlan

I have an email into a board member onto what else I need to include. I think this is it, but should I forget something, I will let you know.

Oh, wait, I did forget something. I also need this image on there somewhere.

As for the design, go wild.

That should be fine.

As long as you're using Vector Images, it's going to look professional. Corel Draw, Illustrator, Quark, stuff like that. You can blow the image up, as large as you need it to be, and it will all be uniform. No messy resolution dithering needed :D

Crystallas, I can do this in photoshop easily.

What should the dimensions be in pixels? Maybe you can help :)

I'm really not sure.

Also, if someone could quickly make me up a poster for my auditions that would be great. I want something very basic. Black and white, that could be put onto color paper. If someone is interested, let me know. I'll give you the detes.

Here is what I need on the audition poster:

On the top "The Rantoul Theatre Group and MIX 94.5 Presents"

Next, "Auditions for" (you can paraphrase this, or alter it or whatever, just need to mention auditions and make it known.

Also the title should read: Jean Shepherd's A Christmas Story Adapted By Philip Grecian

The names of Jean Shepherd and Philip Grecian can't be less than 50% the font size of "A Christmas Story"

I need the information of the theatre. Our info is
41278_455799647805_116301887805_6354048_2891634_n.jpg

I also need the showtimes: December 3, 4, 10, 11 - 7:30 PM December 5 & 12 - 2 PM

More importantly I am going to need the when and where for auditions. Auditions will be Saturday September 25 from 9:30-3:30 at the Rantoul Public Library.

If there is too much room, you can take out the show times and ticket information.

If possible, include Blake@rtgonline.org on there. I will need a link to the website, but I don't want a link to the facebook page.

Finally I need Directed by Blake Quinlan

Oh, wait, I did forget something. I also need this image on there somewhere.

WTF? You've never seen A Christmas Story?

That's Ralphie Parker. He's the main character. He wants a Red Ryder BB Gun. He gets it and this:

His dad wins:

Those are the main icons of the show. You can probably find some simple images on the internet, if you look. Those would be too much to print.
