Just never been a fan of Potato Salad nor Coleslaw....
I like me some Hot Dogs and Chips doe.
Side note.... at BBQs when someone is like "We have Burgers and Hot Dogs and Sausages and Beef sandwiches and BBQ pork.... oh and all these side items".... why would I want side items when I can have a Burger, Hot Dog, Beef sammich, Pulled pork sammich all in one meal?

I'm a firm believer that if you don't like potato salad, you've just never had good potato salad. Coleslaw is different IMO, you either like it or you don't. HHM has some weird fascination with all things cabbage.

Coleslaw: Coarsely chop a cabbage, put in blender with 2 cups sugar, half cup vinegar, and 1 tablespoon horseradish. Pulverize to oatmeal consistency. KFC slaw goodness.
Potato Salad: 3 day old mashed potatoes, a packet of Lipton Onion Soup, and a wad of Miracle Snap.
Versatile, as both can pass as a dip.

I like a good, hot German potato salad. Par boil potatoes. Slice into 1/4 inch rounds. Toss in olive oil, salt and pepper. Grill them the rest of the way. Take a nice bed of spinach top with blue cheese, red onion, bacon, and potatoes. Serve with either a warm bacon vin or red wine vin. A balsamic vin would work as well. Solid summer grilling salad.
