Yeah, I'm about to sound like an old geezer, but whenever I'm in my car with my kids and have to listen to their shit music, I get sad because kids these days can't even appreciate what a real talented musician sounds like. I mean, they would think that Clapton, Hendrix, et al., sucks. About 90% of the stuff they listen to is computerized bullshit with that stupid voice thing (autotune?). However, they do like the Beatles, so maybe there is hope.

I thought this was going to be about him ripping off old blues artists.

If ripping off "old blues artists" is a bad thing, you are going to have long lists of rip-off artists. A very, very long list.

I saw the clip in the OP on TV at the time and I thought it was fantastic. Still do. Nice post. Great song and great cover.

Without guys like Clapton, blues would be dead. In fact, blues was pretty much dead going into the 60s until Clapton, JOhn Mayall, Rolling Stones started giving it visibility. Clapton almost single handedly revived the works of Robert Johnson and he is one of the only reasons millions of people know him today

Clapton is so overrated, always has been.

Stevie Ray Vaughan did more for the blues than Eric. Him and the below were/are both better guitarists:

I've seen all 3 live, Clapton charged the most and performed the least.

Just hotbox with them and turn on some Zep. Worked wonders for my three and one year old.

Keep it to yourself.

You have a problem with what they listen to, well your folks felt the same way back then.

Plus you don't have to listen to their stuff so stop bitching about it.
