I'm not a big gamer anymore, but used to love PlayStation. How come it's still impossible to find one? Does anyone know of a good place to try and get one? What is the DEAL man?

Follow the Reddit groups. The easiest way to get one is if you have a GameStop pro account they drop bundles every few weeks. Some bundles are better than others but they sell slower and gives you a chance to get it before scalpers. Sometimes it’s available online and sometimes certain stores. Reddit is where you want to go though

The way I got mine was through Sony directly. You have to have a PS Plus membership, and opt in to a lottery where you get randomly invited to a private sale link. This might not be an option for you since it sounds like you've been out of the PS ecosystem for awhile.

In addition to what @BEARZOMBIE said, I've also heard about people having luck with a Walmart+ subscription and being on top of it when they get a drop.

Crazy that it's this much of a pain in the ass still, but it is what it is. Supply chain issues + scalpers are really fucking things up.

The Xbox seems to be in stock on a regular basis now. If you like those games their game pass is pretty cool and they release their original content on there first day.

Best Buy had ps5 in stock yesterday but you had to be a member of there tech nerd thing which is $200 a year ?.

Target and Sony direct seem to be the only ones that are selling with no strings attached

Walmart+ Gets a restock every now and the . Usually there’s some heads up on when also.

I signed up for Walmart+ for $15, bought the PS5 and then cancelled it.

I was also but GameStop was/is offering 220-250 to take that ps4 off your hands. Made the move to upgrade a no brainer.

I used hotstock to get an xbox bundle. It took about two weeks to get a notification of availability. But it seemed to work for me.

Shit that's a good deal if you can get your hands on a ps5 for retail. I dunno. I haven't actually looked too hard and I was talking with a friend that mentioned an app, but they're like 800 bucks. There's nothing that really is drawing me to it either. I had a ps3 forever until Fallout 4 came out. Before that I was a PC guy, but I'm just getting lazier and lazier.
