Pretty much every thread in every section of this message board for me will be a random thought thread. It may or may not be on topic. In fact, I may think of something in a thread while being on topic and get completely off topic. Most of the time I will read the titles of the first few threads in the New Posts area and consequently post in the first one that brings forth an idea.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you don't want the thread to get off topic on my account, just ignore me.

As long as it's not about soccer...basically just post whatever you want, wherever you want.

It's pretty much what I've been doing for a while.

Well the stock market just closed. Up again. Economy may not be so hot, political problems throughout the world and right within the U.S., but as long as they keep interest rates at virtually zero, the money has no place else to go.

I bought some coal/iron ore stocks today. ANR and CLF. Used to trade them a lot but now they are just too cheap.

I just read an article that some utility company in New Hampshire purchased a fucking whole shipload from RUSSIA. If that isn't an indictment of this current administration I don't know what is...

Anyways, I think King Coal will be back in a really big way in the next couple of years.

FWIW, it was a met coal company (used for making steel) not the dirty electric company kind... I wonder how Obama intends to make steel after the EPA and Sierra Club bankrupt our miners? Alchemy?

The charts on both of them look good, I think I like the ANR better. Good pickup. I will let you know if you jump aboard in the weeks ahead.

I intend to sell covered calls when they pop for 4-8 percent premiums, and don't care about getting called out because it will force me to take profits on a more routine basis. I agree on the charts, ANR appears to have bottomed with huge upside, CLF has been highly volatile but they just had some major overhaul of their board by activist hedgies.

I'm happy with ariad still but don't really want to look at it until October.

Yeah, seemed like we have some new people in the Bears forum. I just thought I would have this thread in case anyone got confused.
