I watched the entire game.
I believe the major element in this and ALL of the OTHER losses is this:
In almost every instance in which there were players of both teams within a couple of feet from a loose puck, the Hawk plyaer slowed and/or hesitated allowing the Philly player to get to it first.
It seemed as if the Hawks player was confused and unsure of what to do instead of just decisively going to the puck.
There did not seem to be this hesitation on the part of the Fleas players.
The Hawks were a step slower to the puck in almost every instance.

Finally, the Hawks have to lead the league in "too many men" penalties.
Is this coaching or over anzious players?
It has been this way for several years, even BEFORE the infestation of rookies.

Totally agree with the bold. They don 't always come ready to play.

This happened against Tampa Bay too. And it wasn't just the bottom six guys. Kane did it a few times last night, but he did have a solid game overall. Still, it bothered me. I guess I can't blame him entirely when he slows up for a puck in the corner with a guy like Hedman or even McDonough, but I agree with your overall point, it's happened far too often with many Hawks players.

When anyone has the puck in the Hawks' zone, the Hawks players chase the puck as it's passed around from player to player and they NEVER get there in time to do ANYTHING and it tires them.
Instead of chasing the puck, I've thought that they should glue themselves to each opponent player to BE THERE when the puck gets passed.
It looks like someone chasing a fly around your house and never catching it.
If the Hawks players stick to an opponent, they'll BE THERE when it's passed to them.
I admit that I don't know if that would work butt, chasing flies is NOT working.
I'm not a coach or an expert butt, (not even an expert without a butt;), what they are doing now is not working.
