Going into the season, I felt the Bulls had maybe a 10% chance of losing in the first round, 40% of losing in the 2nd, 30% of losing in the ECF, 10% of losing in the finals, and 10% of...

Why would they have a greater chance of losing in the 2nd round than in the ECF 3rd round?

I think what he was trying to say that he expected the Bulls to reach the second round and go no further. And that if they did go futher, he felt their confidence would be enough to propel them to the Finals.

TBH i think the bulls slightly exceeded expectations overall...Rose dominated the regular season and broke through as the MVP and carried a team injury riddled in the front court to 60+ wins...also the resurgence of deng and his exceptional defense is big as well..Thibs is a master mind on D...it's hard for any team to score high against the Bulls

I really thought that the Bulls were going to the finals..especially after game 1..but things change quickly i guess...heat are just killing it and are playing up to their potential now that they have their offensive and defensive schemes figured out...

I wonder how good Thibs really is at running offensive plays tho...considering he was a defensive coordinator in Boston....and its not like he really need to make some elaborate plays for Allen,KG, and Pierce not to mention you have probably the best passer in the game in Rondo...

Although, i think what's most important for the bulls would be getting a SG...period....you can blame the loss on boozer or rose or coaching..but at the end of the day you need another consistent scorer...especially one that can hit it from outside like korver so if korver is off then there's a good chance that the other scorer may be on...i think redick would have been a fantastic fit(of course some of y'all might not like that and/or think that i have the duke blue glasses on but w/e)

Korver was useless against the Heat. He couldn't defend and his shot was always off with the exception of a couple of miscellaneous 3's. So having a JJ Reddick could have provided value. JJ can have slow times like most other perimeter shooters, but he snaps out pretty well. He was lax going into the playoffs for the Magic, I believe, but started to come around and his shooting found its niche again.

And you wouldn't have to deal half your team away and 50 future draft picks for Dwight Howard.

The more I think about it, the more I feel like this team is going to be the 2nd best group behind the Jordan teams (maybe 3rd if you wanna break them up like that). We're going to get better next season. We have assets, and we're young. I think we've established ourselves as a winning organization once again and free agents are going to want to come here (hopefully). We have nonguaranteed contracts that can be used in trades to absorb more salary like Doug said, and that might be huge if we trade for Howard or that SG. If Miami loses to Dallas, I think we could be just as attractive a destination for those wanting to win a title(now those wanting warm weather, we're screwed). And we'll get bonus points if anyone secretly hates the big 3. xD

They'll do just that.

On their way to the NBA Finals.

Good day, sir.

Who cares about the Heat...they were supposed to be here anyways. They're supposed to win 7 titles. If they do, good for them they met expectations. It's nearly impossible for that group to win 8.

The Bulls had a hell of a season that no one expected them to have. Let's take this season for what it was, a great ride with a slightly disapointing ending, and just hope that the Bulls can build on the team that won 62 games this past season. I tip my cap to this squad and hope the best for them in the future.
