Why is it necessary for men to try to be cruel to women on this board? Some douchebag on here decided it was necessary to make a pretty rude remark about my avatar photo, which I could possibly understand had I argued with him or something, but I was definitely just answering a question from another poster.

In general, I've had an overwhelming amount of negative responses and outright asshole behavior directed at me from people on this board even though I'm not really mean or rude to anyone.

So do these sorts of dudes just hate women because they can't get what they want from them? Or is it something else? Is my presence as a female who doesn't resemble Kate Upton an outright offense and a crime I need to be hated for?

Yeah, I'm not a skinny girl. Do I need to apologize for that? I kind of thought we were here to chop it up and enjoy diverse discussions, not pick on people for the way they look. For a group of men, some of the dudes here can be downright catty, pathetic little bitches.

A lot of people on here are smartasses....and I like that. It's fun. I bet if you saw a pic of someone you wod probably not comment on it...but that's you. Some can be a little harsh, but if you are comfortable with yourself and don't care what strangers think like some on here than no biggie. Some guys are little bitches and more sensitive than school girls....you know who they are....so wouldn't you rather have guys being dogs instead?

I am brutally honest and like to hang with guys and girls who are confident as well. It works for me. My advice would be for you to just accept it and don't take anything personally.

I don't think this is specifically a "man" thing. Some people just feel entitled to say whatever they want. They have no filter. That poster is an idiot.

Friendship/conversation should never depend upon how one looks or how much different the other posters are. Variety is the spice of life. Generally speaking, men and women communicate differently. That some males could be giving you problems on this board is short-sighted on their part. There are conversations in "The Bar" and "Beliefs & Ideology" that would be more complete/informative with the addition of female perspectives. There definitely are some little bitches on this forum, not unlike any other forum of this size and greater. Don't let them ruin your experience here. Chin up. Stiff upper lip.

If I had a banter going on with the dude then I could understand throwing a little shit back and forth but I hadn't said a peep to him, it came out of nowhere and was downright childish. As a sports forum, it's pretty much an unfiltered place for men to be men, and in general we're dicks to one another. Add e-courage people consume from being on the anonymous interwebs and you've got a volatile mix of not-give-a-shit-itus. Do not expect special treatment, however, because of what you are or what you look like. Either nudge their chubby guts right back or simply put them on an ignore list (and probably plenty of others) if you don't want to be a part of the banter. This is true of any other place where there are a large population of men.
