So yeah I just totaled my 2001 Mercury today. The radiator got pushed back the the engine and the engine got pushed back. I need a car asap and I have a car in mind that's not great but I just need a car. The Car shop is also close so the conveince is nice.

It's a 1997 Thunderbird with about 160K miles. Do you think that car will be OK to get around and what do you think is a good price for that?

Thanks.

Ford = Shit

I would not even drop $800 on that car. Keep in mind the used car market is a buyers market, you can get an amazing deal if you take the time to shop around.

Give me your price and where you live range and I will find you a car.

No to the 97 Tbird.

I have had all sorts of fords, chevys, honda, toyotas, nissans, and mopars. I don't get the brand loyalty/rivalry deal. Everyone makes shit cars and bulletproof cars. Buy what's in your best interest.

BTW, what kind of Mercury were you driving? Because if you owned a FWD car, totaled it, and want to move to a RWD car... you're going to be in for a world of hurt trying to adjust in the winter.

Every GM Truck I have ever owned has never disappointed me. My 2006 Duramax has around 900 ft/lbs of torque on the stock allison transmission, it has held up for 80k miles now. I also have a 2004 Duramax that has 350k miles... runs perfect and it has had a leaking head gasket for 8k miles now...

Duramax trucks are resilient to any sort of beating you can throw at them.

Do yourself a favor Waldo and get a Duramax truck. Real vehicles rattle!!!

They have an excellent corporate structure and they... they give YOU the tools to be your own boss.

Haha... I think washing cars in suits and working 60hrs a week for 25k is such a good business structure....
