HOUSTON -- Aramis Ramirez seemed to be in favor of Carlos Zambrano's idea of bringing in Adam Dunn next year, but he took the professional approach when asked a question about Dunn after Sunday's game.
"I've said it before, when you add a guy like that, who hits 40 homers every year, it wouldn't hurt," Ramirez said. "But like I say, that's not my job, and we've got a guy playing first that I don't want to disrespect. Zambrano can say whatever he wants. (Xavier) Nady has been there every day now, and he's a free agent. I don't know what they're going to do.
"Zambrano is totally correct. Having a guy like (Dunn) in your lineup is going to help."
Nady hit .256 with six home runs and 33 RBI. He may be back, but not as the starting first baseman. As for Ramirez, he finished at .241 with 25 home runs and 83 RBI in 465 at-bats after hitting under .200 the first two months. He said he was satisifed with his power numbers and only needs to be healthy.
"If I play the (number of) games I'm supposed to play, I should be (back)," he said.
