As long as we're talking about Albert Pujols, who will become a free agent after this season, here's Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez's take:

"How many Major Leaguers are there? Like 300?" Ramirez said Saturday. "If you ask all of them, everybody wants Pujols on their team. At the same time, we have Carlos Pena here. You've got to respect your teammate. That's tough when you already have a first baseman here.

"But to answer your question," Ramirez said, "anybody would like Pujols."

I hope Pena has a breakout year and we can forget all of this Pujols talk. As we all know Pujols is a special kind of player but one guy can not win a championship.

Even with a breakout year, Pena is nothing compared to Pujols.

And how often do players match their career years anyway?

he is no comparison but i don't think Pujols is the key to bringing a championship to the Cubs....i am afraid that contract will cripple the Cubs financially for years to come.
