it's been the biggest buzz around town. Allen is an expiring, but i'm not sure how we'd get him. Maybe it's hinrich, jerome james, and hunter?

allen has never really fit in the C's. he's used to coming off screens etc. Also he's played like crap. If we're targetting wade and bosh, we should be far enough under luxury tax to get a good player. I doubt we'd keep allen unless we're a contender next year and want him as a bench player.

Hinrich is a good defender, and he's young. He's also a good ball handler, but i dont think he's known for his shooting, (the kirk hinrich special comes to mind)

i call bullshit on this deal unless it's Skalbrine, tony allen, and some other expiring for hinrich. I duno, i'd probably do that deal if they included a draft pick and big baby.

Then i'd try to trade tyrus for a guard. Martell webster is injury prone, but he's playing well for cheap in portland... Also the way Thomas is playing, he's the best damn defensive role player/6th man out there.

I don't think Ray Allen has been playing that badly. And besides, Allen is one of those players who can miss every single shot he takes in a game, then sink a game winner with a hand in his face. Those kinds of players are hard to find. Plus, I don't think the Celtics would even consider that deal, Ray Allen is pretty essential to what they do since any one of their stars is prone to go down to injury at any given time (case in point, KG) and Allen has been healthy for most, if not all, of the season. It'd be a great trade for us though, I'd do it.

I'd love & welcome the trade but I don't see the C's doing it. They realize they are getting old but like clone said, he's an intergral part of that team's success. They put all their eggs in one basket & hey it worked for 1 year. They got their championship. But now KG's career is pretty much finished, Pierce is getting awfully close to turning into the old Jerry Stackhouse by next season, & were the 2nd worst team in the East in January with a 6-11 record. Watch this team drop to the 4th seed by the end of the year & possibly get bounced in the 1st round.

But atleast they have Rondo, the greatest overrated PG on the planet.

The Celtics have one last shot at the title this year. Why do they want to trade Allen for Kirk? He's not going to help them as much as Allen in their attempt to win this year, and he's a longer contract so he hurts the rebuilding phase they're going to have to go into soon.

will they have money in the off season? isn't allen's contract going to be 18 million of the books? i'd resign him for 5-6 million and get a quality back up 2, but i doubt there are any available. i dont expect allen to be playing more than 20 minutes a game next year.

I'd do Kirk, Salmons and James for Allen and Daniels or Tony Allen. Ray will give us max cap room for sure and Brown can pick up a lot of the back up minutes at the wing postions. We would just need so sign a back up pg with the money saved. Or maybe we can pull a deng for expiring and have room for two max deals. I wonder if the celtics would take Deng and Kirk for Allen and Daniels?

we'd be getting robbed in deng and kirk for allen and daniels. i guess it would be worth it if we could get lebron and bosh. i dont think they'd do the deal. Deng would probably come off the bench, and 10 +million is a lot to pay a bench player while pierce is on contract for 2 more years.
