re-occuring dreams/nightmares

I am curious if people that have had similar experiences in life can experience the same dream.



So post some reoccuring dreams you've had and occationally continue to have. My reoccuring ones are almost always associated with school of some sort.



1. I have a dream Im still in college and theres a class I forgot about and havent been to all semester long and im freaking out. I still have this dream in some incarnation, rather frequently.

2. I have a dream i found out I never graduated High School (for what reason I don't know) and I have to go back to highschool and repeat all 4 years. it makes no logical sense as were that the case Im sure I could just take a test and get a GED, but still wierd.

3. i have a dream I re-up in the Army and immidiately regret the decision, because for some reason i have to repeat basic training and it completely sucks.



All three of these I have had similar dreams on multiple occations, some of the details and setting may be different but essentially the same.

Ha, no, I didnt post this thread to draw psychological meaning from them, im just curious if other people have had similar dreams. Ive had these dreams as long as whatever aspect of them became part of my life, so its hard for me to think any would still have some psychological context to this day.



It is pretty amazing how in a dream you can accept it as reality and forget essentially your entire life while you are in the dream. Like the college one, just saying dude you havent been in college for years.

When I was a little girl I kept having a dream that I was sitting in the backseat of a car and it was going really fast down the street but there was nobody driving.

I also, frequently have dreams of driving over a bridge and the bridge is always slick and I drive off, then wake up when I hit the water.

The only reoccuring dream I have, which I haven't had in a long time was a dream that was half reality, half video game. Like Tron like, even though I had never seen the movie when it started. But it was a weird mix of like space invaders and pac-man and shit, and I was being chased and it was scare as ****. I'm pretty sure video game bees were after me and there were mazes involved... all sorts of weird stuff.

I always had dreams of my teeth rotting away, and falling out as I was trying to eat food. No food in particular. I'd go and look into the mirror, grab a tooth, it would begin to wiggle, and I could pull it out easy, like pulling a stem off of a cherry.

Then my molars would end up crushed, and I'd have pieces of teeth littering my tongue as I'd try to spit everything out.

That is fucked up. Even going outside reoccuring, I often fall asleep watching TV, and if the TV is loud I often have vivid dreams and dream is almost always related to whats on the TV and in fact will influence the dream in real time. Like I will recall exact conversations from dreams and when i wake up know they are lines from a movie I fell asleep watching, but in the dream nothing seemed off.

YES Ive had that dream, more than once, where like teeth will just start breaking apart and falling out.

I used to have dreams I was on airplanes that were crashing. But it was always just the part where the plane was going down and I would wake up. Also I had dreams I was being kidnapped by aliens.

No its good, I spent the night on a friends couch on friday, and I think i must have had an ass cramp in my sleep or something.

Oh of course now I have these dream, Ive been eating healthy for the past couple weeks, trying to drop some weight and of course I have the dream where I eat like 3 crave cases and feel like such a bastard for ruining my progress.

Since it's going to come up, i'll mention it now. No, I don't have any dreams about the car wreck that killed my mom. I did have cryptic nightmares up to the time in which i unblocked the memory, but after I did they stopped.



The funniest dream I ever had though, woke me up laughing. It was really surreal and was being narrated like a bad TV show by someone who sounded like Carl Sagan. <denotes and explanation that wasn't narrated>

"The crew of Red Dwarf <British Sci-fi Comedy show> and I walked into a bar, and noticed the bartender's name was Cupcake. So, I decided to give him a cupcake. <farting into ones hand and throwing it into someone's face> As he reeled back, i noticed that I gave him a frosted cupcake. <shitting in ones hand and rubing it into someone's face>. As his fist approached my face I wondered, 'how in the hell did my pants get around my ankles?' Then, the bar-fight ensued. Aftr smoke cleared, everyone was gone and the place was a demilitarized zone, except Rosie the Robot had a pool-cue shoved up her twat and coming out her mouth, which prevented her from going out the door..."



At that point I woke up laughing.
