Okay, there is a chance that Bosh and/or Amare might become available and can be had for the right price.

There is a chance that they MIGHT NOT even be available.

My question is - Do Bulls wait for them to be available and if they do, do you think Bulls have enough pieces to really trade for 1???

Or do you go after Boozer really hard and make a pitch at him?

Frankly, this is a tough situation. I would rather have Bosh/Amare but I don't want to wait too long either and miss out on Boozer either. But what if we do sign-n-trade with Utah for Boozer and then Bosh/Amare become available???

What would you do?

I wouldn't really go for Boozer before checking out chances on the other two. I'm not that high on Boozer, b/c of his injuries. He didn't play a (near) full season for ages and I don't want to sell the farm for someone to join Deng on the bench.

I would go after him but the problem is Utah isn't going to do a sign and trade putting them in the LT......

Also if Boozer is smart he wouldn't opt out this year but rather in 2010. There's only Detroit, OKC and Memphis that can pay him this year... So why opt out?

Like you said there's a chance that Amare or Bosh aren't avail or get traded somewhere before 2010 so Boozer IMO can get a bigger payday in 2010. I don't think he opts out

Would you extend Boozer if you trade for him, you'd have to, but then do you really want to give Boozer big money?

Yes, I would extend him. All depends on how much money he wants or settles for.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Would getting Boozer then trading him for Amare/Bosh be out of the question?

going after Boozer would be a huge mistake. for one thing, hes injury prone, and whoever he gets that extension with is going to be regretting it within 2 years. 2nd off, hes not good enough to be a difference maker on this team. hes not going to volt us into title contention, so I dont think its worth even bothering with.

I would go after him if somehow we don't get Stoudemire or Bosh. You know what you're getting with him. He scores down low and obviously we need his toughness. Imagine him starting while Ty.Thomas comes off the bench with Miller and Hinrich. We got better as you can see. I'll give him a 2 or 3 year contrac!

Boozer isn't signing a 2 or 3 year contract, no chance. this extension is going to be his last big deal, hes going to go for 5 or 6 years, if the bulls won't offer it he won't resign with them.

I just don't think he's worth it. Health is a value when assessing a player's worth, and he is always hurt. Sorry.
