For the most part, the military only knows what you tell them. You seem like an intelligent guy so I'm sure you'd have no problem passing the ASVAB. Plus, like I told you before, Recruiters get a 'bonus' for every person they sign up. So I'm 100% certain you could find one that could get you in. Hell, the recruiters coach people on what to and what not to say when you report to MEPS, so it's not like you'd be the only one. I'd say 1/3 of the people in military had to lie about something or other in order to join.

Just be honest with your recruiter, tell them you don't see it as a problem. They'll want to hit their numbers, and do their best to get you in.

Ah the Military. I had envisioned a Military career... and then it was obvious being Color Tone voided that right out the damn window. Funny how it wasnt a problem for my Grandfather in WWII.. and he had flat feet I wanted to fly, and bomb the **** out of shit. But learned in order to fly, you must have 20/20 vision too, and I dont. Thus ended the brilliant career of the only would be 4 star General in each branch

I would be willing to bet that at the very least you would be able to get into the National Guard which does have full time opportunities. I say screw college. I wasted a lot of time and energy on an MBA and don't even use it because i make more based on my military experience...but that's just me. Certain military skillsets are more transferrable than others, but its not hard to get a contracting job. I would agree with the others, however, you're not going to get much peace and quiet in the military.
