My favorite teams
Last regular season, home game of the Blackhawks/Red Wings division rivalry. (Whatever that means) :dunno:
Emery should be our #1 from now on. Simply do not trust Crawford anymore. The team seems to play a lot better and have more confidence when Emery is in net. He's also proven in the Playoffs, unlike Crow. These past few weeks I have lost almost all faith in Crow.
In Emery I trust.
Thought the defense was pretty shaky tonight. A whole lot of turnovers with Oduya being in the center of a lot of them. Leddy played the best out of all of them, in my opinion.
I personally am a fan of the Kane/Hossa swap. I think it gives some nice balance to the lines and could provide some more explosiveness for that first line. Toews, Stalberg, and Shaw were the stand outs tonight but I personally didn't think anyone played a spectacular game. Thought Kruger also had a pretty nice game and Kruger/Sharp at the "2c" position could really work out well as I think Kruger is a better play maker than people give him credit for - his offensive side has come along a lot nicer than I thought it would. Was glad to see the Shaw/Handzus switch as well. Too many dumb penalties tonight, can't really consider any of them "good" penalties.
Crawford was good when he needed to be but I'm guessing Emery will get the start on Sunday, where he can continue to solidify his spot as the #1 guy as of now. Sunday should be a good one, Blues are a team that the Blackhawks don't match up great with (where I believe they match up well against the Wings).
Yet as much as we "don't match up well" with St. Louis, we are still what, 2-1 against them?

Just because the Blackhawks won games against them doesn't mean that it's a favorable matchup for them.
Agreed. I think the Hawks are capable of beating anyone they face but I think the toughest early matchup would be either the Blues or Columbus.
That's fine, they still don't match up against the Blues that well - that doesn't mean that the Blackhawks can't beat them or win though. The Blues are a big physical team who played poorly at the beginning of the season but have been playing a lot better as of late. They added Leopold and Bouwmeester to the back end as well. Should be a tough team and a good game on Sunday - anything can happen.
