Why do people keep saying he WILL be out? And others saying he'll be out until January...
The last we heard from Deng and his wrist, he said it was feeling fine and Thibs said he expects him back for training camp and doesn't think he'll need surgery.
Unless Deng re-injures his wrist in the Olympics or he decides to get surgery for some reason, it sounds like he'll be back by the time reg season starts.

crap. I'm not a fan of deng holding off surgery. Whether or not it's his off hand, the injury has hurt his percentages. Perhaps the defense is playing him different, mebbe it's because the pain is affecting his stroke, i duno/care. he should get the surgery, because he's not playing like the second best scorer on this team.

Not sure when Deng became a medical expert, if the Bulls medical staff determines he needs surgery I don't think he really has a choice, unless he doesn't want to get paid.

The team can't force him to have surgery. It's his body. If he says he feels fine and is able to play, he'll play. Kobe had the same type of injury on his wrist and he hasn't gotten surgery either. And I'm not sure why they wouldn't pay him either.
If he still is hurt and it's bothering him, obviously he should get surgery. Even if it means missing a couple of months. I mean, we likely aren't winning a title next season anyway. But only he knows how he feels.
